what happens in a survey?
We will check all areas of concern and any that you have. We use a damp meter and thermal imaging camera.
Once the invoice is paid we will send over a PDF report of our findings, and a quote if required along with pictures from the thermal camera and images of damp meter readings.
How long does a survey / quotation take?
Typically between 10 and 20 minutes.
Does it matter that it’s dark?
No, we have torches and normally need to check inside as that can tell us the answers.
What happens on a quote?
We will come and look at the areas of concern, in a couple of days you will then receive a quote, then in a week a phone call to confirm you received it and if you have any questions.
How long until I can decorate?
Normally once the plaster is dry, which is about a week, with a breathable paint.
How will it be left?
We will leave the area blended into the existing finish, if skirting boards were removed, they will need to be replaced or re-fitted (this isn’t something we do). Then after about a week the area can be re-decorated, if this is with paint it will need to be breathable.
